Richard Taylor

I am a certified direct access barrister and an accredited mediator for all matters.

I am a very experienced civil practitioner having appeared in over 6000 hearings. In addition, I recently appeared in the Court of Appeal instructed by EasyJet Airlines Limited in the matter of Dore & Anor v EasyJet [2022] EWCA Civ 1553.

I specialise in Property, Housing, Commercial, Common, Consumer and Contract Law. I was called to the Bar in 2008, and prior to that, I lived and worked in the USA creating and starting my own business and then advising start up businesses to gain funding and expand to other countries. In addition, I have been a parish counselor and am an FA qualified football coach.

This combination of legal, business, and local interests makes me an excellent mediator as I have the ability to understand all sides of a dispute. I can quickly uncover the legal, contractual and personal challenges and find a path that resolves issues by focusing on common purpose and beneficial outcomes.

I am based in the northwest of England but am happy to take mediations throughout England and Wales. Those who know me either through work, my community life, or as friends would say I am a confident, dedicated and diligent advocate and mediator who focuses on achieving results while treating all parties with respect and dignity.
